IIT@NEST, the Center for Nanotechnology Innovation, is an interdisciplinary R&D center dedicated to the investigation and exploitation of phenomena at the nanoscale.
It is organized in three Divisions:
Nanomedicine
Power Nanosystems
Nanoscale Processes and Tools.
IIT@NEST was founded in September 2009 but builds on the extensive facilities and activities of Laboratorio NEST-Scuola Normale Superiore partly already object of an SNS-IIT collaboration.
IIT@NEST activities span from molecular medicine and advanced diagnostics, to energy-scavenging nanosystems, to nanoprocess standardization. These goals are schematically presented in this web page together with the results obtained since CNI foundation.
CNI is part of the NEST initiative promoted by IIT, CNR and Scuola Normale Superiore to create in Pisa a world-class nanoscience and nanotechnology center.
